Jack and Sadie

Jack

Jack is a 60 pound clear sable and white.  He scored in the top 5% of all English Shepherds for his PennHip score of DI .25 and does not carry the MDR1 gene.  He is the first to greet you when you arrive home, but then goes on about his business.  He does check in with you every few minutes to make sure all is well.  Jack is energetic but has a laid back personality and doesn’t get excited very easily.  Jack will only bark if it’s needed.  He is wary of adult strangers and is protective of his family.  If I’m ok with the stranger he will respect that and sit by my side and keep an eye on the person.   Jack is very tolerant and accepting towards all children and will let them pet him and cuddle him.  Jack exhibit’s moderate herding and prey instincts and his strongest trait is watching and protecting.

Active

Both dogs love to run, chase and play. English Shepherds need lots of exercise to be happy.

Sadie

Sadie is a 50 pound tri-color with ticking on her legs and split face markings.  She scored just above average on her PennHip score of DI .45 and does not carry the MDR1 gene.  She is sweet, affectionate and has a desire to keep things in order.  She is not an excessive barker, but will bark if something is out of the norm.  She exhibits a strong prey drive and herding instincts.  She is very confident and shows no fear towards stock.  She is not fond of loud noise.  She is good at keeping the yard free of opossums, skunks, moles and other vermin.  Sadie will bark at a stranger but will warm up to them quickly and want to be best friends.   She will always be your shadow wherever you go and enjoys being around her people and has never exhibited any form of aggressive behavior towards a person.  Sadie’s strongest trait is herding and her bond with her family.
